Advances in Research on Chlorogenic Acid

Abstract:

Chlorogenic acid（CGA），an ester of caffeic acid and quinic acid，is a natural product widely used in pharmaceutical，chemical，food and other fields. This article is to review the research progress of chlorogenic acid，such as its physical and chemical properties，biological activity，synthesis methods and metabolism in vivo. The paper could serve as a reference for the research and the rational development and utilization of chlorogenic acid.
